This Connecting to Reimagine initiative is born of GFLEC’s leadership in the field of financial literacy and personal finance. We aim to bring together decision makers and thought leaders from various sectors to exchange knowledge and experience, with the ultimate shared vision of improving the financial well-being of people around the world.
This joint initiative of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and GFLEC brought together academics, practitioners, policy makers, and other experts to present and discuss cutting-edge research on financial literacy. The seminars ran from 2012 - 2023 and were open to the public. The series concluded when GFLEC moved to Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2023.

The National Financial Capability Study (NFCS) is an ongoing, multi-year project aimed at monitoring and better understanding financial capability in America. The first wave of NFCS data was collected in 2009, and every three years thereafter. GFLEC and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation co-hosted the release of the 2012 data on May 29, 2013, and the release of the 2015 data on July 12, 2016.

The Global Financial Literacy Summit (GFLS), hosted by GFLEC and the WorldPensionSummit, convened thought leaders, policy makers, practitioners, and executives from industry-leading financial firms from over 40 countries for a global forum on the new and rapidly evolving fields of financial literacy, financial education, and financial decision making. GFLEC and WPS hosted summits in Amsterdam in 2012 and 2013.
